We are pleased to announce our next wine tasting. This tasting has rapidly become something of a Harrogate institution and with around 100 wines on show you can easily see why.

This year we hope to have a few new suppliers along, as well as the guys from Riedel glasses doing a blind tasting. If you are yet to be convinced about just how much difference these make then now is your chance to find out!

Last autumn was attended by record numbers. We fully expect this to be the case again and will unfortunately have to restrict numbers, so we would suggest getting in touch early to guarantee your place.

Vergelegen tasting with Eddie Turner



It was a real privilege to be able to taste the wines of Vergelegen last night, Eddie Turner took us through the wines in a relaxed but informative way, all the wines shone well on the night but stand out wines for me were the Reserve Chardonnay 2006 which had lovely toasty oak and I reckon will be fantastic in a couple years if you can keep your hands off it. The Prestige white 2006 was also in sparkling form. Of the reds the Reserve Cab and the Reserve Syrah again showed just how good value these wines are. The 2001 V continues to gain more and more complexity, very little of this left but those that have any in their cellar are in for a real treat.
