    Wine Appreciation Course 11th February - 7th April

    The aim of this course is to be fun, informative and relaxed. It will run over an eight week period and the focus will be on tasting our way through some of the major wine producing countries/regions of the world, we will also cover regional varietal characteristics and tasting techniques. Wines will range in price from entry level to serious examples. Our own Phil Ball will be returning as tutor, Phil has a wealth of experience in the wine trade and ran similar courses for years at Rossett School.

    Our Wednesday course is now fully booked but our Tuesday course has some places available so if you are interested please contact us by either phone or email.

    The cost of the 8 week course is £125 which includes all tuition and wine costs.

    Course dates are:

    Tuesday 11th Feb - Tuesday 7th April (excl.25th February) from 7pm - 9pm.

    Course Outline:

    Week 1 - Basic tasting techniques and a look at Viticulture and Vinification.

    Week 2 – Wines of Alsace

    Week 3 – Wines of South Africa

    Week 4 – Wines of Portugal

    Week 5 – Wines of New Zealand

    Week 6 – Wines of Italy

    Week 7 - TBC.

    Week 8 - TBC.

    Payment for the course will be at the start of week 1, or earlier if you are passing the shop, so please arrive a few minutes early to sort that out. Credit cards are accepted. The total cost of the course will be £125 per person. Unfortunately no reduction/refunds for week(s) missed will be available.
