Christmas Wines

Choosing wine for Christmas needn’t be a difficult job. Most red wines will go with a traditional Christmas dinner so just pick your favourite red.

For some guidance if you are having turkey or other white meats go for a Pinot Noir (new or old world) or even a medium bodied Rioja; a rib or joint of beef would lend itself to fuller bodied wine like a Bordeaux or a Syrah/Shiraz. If you are having smoked salmon as a starter then a white burgundy will go well with it. For an aperitif our house Champagne NV Champagne Gallimard Pere et Fils de Reserve Blanc de Noirs is made with Pinot Noir  grapes and  is a wonderfully rich and a genuinely fantastic cuvee.
