Gordon and Macphail Connoisseurs Choice from Balblair Distillery 1998

Gordon and Macphail's Connoisseurs Choice whiskies are rare single cask and small batch expressions that have been created by their distillers unique expertise in matching spirit to oak casks, They are always non-chill-filtered.

The Balblair was distilled in September 1998 and matured in a first fill Bourbon barrel. Bottling took place in October 2021 of which there was an outturn of 170 bottles. Golden

Golden coloured with aromas of fragrant lime zest, red apple and dark honey. Brown sugar gives way to pineapple and marzipan. On the palate ripe green apple leads to honeycomb and soft mango. Creamy notes of banana combine with sweet peach and apricot. ?Medium-bodied with lingering charred oak and citrus.
