Gordon and Macphail Connoisseurs Choice from Pulteney Distillery 1998

Gordon and Macphail's Connoisseurs Choice whiskies are rare single cask and small batch expressions that have been created by their distillers unique expertise in matching spirit to oak casks, They are always non-chill-filtered.

The Pulteney was distilled in August 1998 and matured in a refill Bourbon barrel. Bottling took place in April 2022 of which there was an outturn of 243 bottles. 

Light gold in colour with aromas of grapefruit and lemon zest which give way to notes of fresh cut grass. Vanilla pod and coconut intertwine with fragrant baked apple. On the palate there raspberry notes combine with liquorice and bitter orange. The finish is full, nutty and spicy.
