2010 Quintarelli Rosso Del Bepi

Effectively this is declassified Quintarelli Amarone; they only make their Amarone in the very best years. The grapes are dried until the end of December and then pressed. It comes down to the cooler years that tend to become Rosso Del Bepi but no corners are cut! This in any other hands would be classed as a great wine doesn't quite live up to the  crazy heights wanted in quality for their Amarone. These are however tremendous stand out wines and while at this price they should be (understatement!), they are half the price of their Amarone.
