The Lyrarakis estate has spearheaded the explosion of interest in top Greek wines in the UK in recent years. Established on the island of Crete in 1966, the Lyrarakis family has devoted itself to the revival of indigenous, almost extinct, rare grape varieties such as Liatiko, Dafni, Plyto, Melissaki and others, vinifying wines that highlight their unique and distinctive character.

Dafni was saved from extinction by the Lyrarakis family, when it was planted in the “Psarades” family vineyard in the early '90s. Its name derives from the laurel (bay leaf) plant, which is called “Dáfni” in Greek, as the wine has similar aromas.

A wine with a distinctive herbal character of bay, sage and rosemary, refreshing mouthfeel and intense aromatic aſtertaste, on a citrus fruit background.
