Château des Jacques, one of the most esteemed estates in Beaujolais, has been a proud member of the Louis Jadot family for over two decades. It was originally established in the 18th century with only a couple of hectares of Moulin a Vent vinified. Over the centuries and under different ownerships it has acquired more vineyards in Moulin a Vent, Fleurie and Morgon.
Clos de Loyse is a 10 hectare walled parcel near a medieval Castle, formerly owned by Lords of Loyse and later cultivated by Chartreux monks, it features chardonnay vines grown on a unique alluvial soil with a granite bedrock. The wine is produced via two different processes - one half in oak barrels and the other in stainless steel vats - before being blended and bottled after 8-9 months of maturation.
