Viñedos Hontza was established in 2015 as a family venture with the intention of showcasing through their wines the true essence of the terroir. Their wines are certified organic and produced according to Biodynamic principles, and using minimal intervention in the winemaking process.
This wine is a blend of Tempranillo, Garnacha, and Viura grapes from Rioja Alavesa hand-harvested from clay and limestone vineyards, then vinified with wild yeasts in concrete tanks. The result is a raw, natural wine with earthy, black fruit and subtle pepper notes, boasting delicious, smooth tannins.
