Gordon and Macphail Connoisseurs Choice from Tomatin Distillery 2006

Gordon and Macphail's Connoisseurs Choice whiskies are rare single cask and small batch expressions that have been created by their distillers unique expertise in matching spirit to oak casks, They are always non-chill-filtered.

The Glenrothes was distilled in September 2006 and matured in a refill American hogshead. Bottling took place in May 2022 of which there was an outturn of 315 bottles.

Golden coloured with aromas of tropical fruit combined with lemon zest and a hint of cocoa powder. Sweet vanilla pod is balanced by cracked black pepper and charred oak.

On the palate citrus fruit complimented by pineapple and mango notes. Red apple gives way to hazelnut and desiccated coconut. Medium-bodied with lingering orange peel and oak.
