We’ve been fans of South Africa’s Kleine Zalze for a long time now and so we are pleased to be able offer this super deal on these three Kleine Zalze premium wines.
Kleine Zalze has a long winemaking history going all the way back to 1695. The Estate came into the hands of the Basson family in 1996 who invested massively in the farm and took Kleine Zalze onto another level! It is now regarded as one of the best wineries in Stellenbosch.
The Platter Wine Guide even made it the winery of the year in 2021, that’s how on form they are!
2022 Kleine Zalze Vineyard Selection Chenin Blanc, Stellenbosch £15.50 (offer price £11.63) Lovely aromas of soft fruits like melon and peach with well integrated oak adding flavour and texture. The wine has nice acidity and good minerality. This is drinking beautifully and an absolute steal at the offer price.
The grapes are grown on bush vines with an average age of 30 years. The wine is fermented in oak barrels and amphorae and then spends 7 months on its lees.
