Join Nick Fisher, aka Burgundy Nick (DIPWSET), for an engaging and interactive introduction to wine appreciation. This two hour session will help both enthusiasts and novices deepen their knowledge of wine and hone their tasting skills whilst sampling a curated selection of six wines from around the world.

Ever wondered, “Why does a wine taste like it does?”. Through this immersive experience, you’ll take a sensory journey into the world of wine, learning how everything from the soil to the climate to the winemaker’s approach to your own taste buds plays a part in what you taste in your glass. It’s not all theory, though—this evening strikes the perfect balance with six specially selected wines that showcase a spectrum of styles, regions, and flavours.

By the end of this Wine Appreciation evening, you'll understand the key factors behind a wine's taste, from its origin and grape-growing conditions to its winemaking process. You'll also master the essential wine tasting techniques: how to look, smell, taste, and evaluate wine.

This evening isn’t just informative—it’s designed to be convivial too. We’ll gather around a large table, with ample opportunity to share thoughts and discuss the wines we’re tasting.

Each wine will be 50ml pours served in ISO glasses.
