This wine quickly gained legendary status among winemakers, celebrated for its vibrant fruit expression and restrained strength. Sourced exclusively from exceptional vineyard sites nestled in the cool, rugged slopes of Eden Valley, FDR1A stands as a testament to the artistry of both winemaking and viticulture.
The grapes for FDR1A are meticulously sourced from vineyards within the Eden Valley region. Specifically chosen are four Cabernet Sauvignon vineyards and two Shiraz vineyards, each selected to highlight the region's renowned elegance and purity of fruit.
With a medium dense crimson red hue, this wine presents a well-defined and perfumed floral aroma featuring powdery spices, violets and maraschino cherries. Additional notes of anise, cedar and stalky currants complement the bouquet. The palate, characterised by a medium to full-bodied style, showcases the wine's finesse and elegance, layered with sweet fruit complexity. The plush and seamlessly textured palate is accompanied by long, fine and powdery tannins, culminating in a sophisticated tasting experience.
