2022 Bodegas Puiggros Exedra Garnatxa Blanca Amphora

A lovely dry Grenache from Catalunya. Bodegas Puiggros use 80 yr old native vines grown at altitudes of 650 metres above sea level. The wine is kept on its skins for a short maceration period giving added texture and complexity. A cool fermentation in steel is followed by ageing in beeswax covered clay amphora for six months.

Aromatic on the nose with fresh peach and pineapple followed by Mediterranean herbs. Hints of toasted nuts and beeswax on the palate and a long luscious and slightly bitter finish.
