2024 Alheit Monument (La Colline) Semillon

This vineyard is truly one of South Africa’s treasures. Established in 1936 on a raised south-facing slope overlooking the valley, it sits between 310 and 350 meters above sea level. The terrain is primarily granitic, enriched with abundant quartz. Unique to this site are several Sémillon variants growing together: the typical green-skinned type and the rarer red-skinned variety, which reflects the region’s historic Sémillon plantings and is now exclusive to the Cape.
