2024 Newton Johnson Walker Bay Pinot Noir

Made from younger vines and on the lower slopes of the well appointed Newton Johnson farm. It's a fresh, "village-level" red wine from South Africa's cool-climate Hemel-en-Aarde region. The 2024 vintage is a more serious wine than previous vintages due to optimal ripening conditions.  

Aromas of cranberry, raspberry, and sour cherry are complemented by floral notes of violet petals and earthy undertones. The palate is medium-bodied and linear with vibrant acidity. It features polished, chalky tannins and mid-palate sweetness from ripe red fruit. A lingering, savoury finish with distinct notes of liquorice and spice.
