2017 Saint Clair Sauvignon Blanc Reserve Marlborough

One of the best NZSBs out there. This is from the lower part of the Wairau Valley where proximity to the ocean and cooler night-time temperatures encourage a longer hang-time, and therefore good flavour development in the grapes. Intensely fragrant tropical blackcurrant bud and passionfruit aromas combine with notes of green nettle. Rich and salty flavours of passionfruit, red currant, papaya and melon with a long lingering finish. An exceptional food wine which will match beautifully with freshly shucked oysters or mussels.
