A new-age Margaret River Cabernet Sauvignon with a touch of Malbec, this wine captures all the classic regional hallmarks in a brighter, more approachable style. Made with Vasse Felix’s quality-driven, minimal-intervention approach, it’s fruit-forward and ready to enjoy earlier, while still carrying an attractive savoury edge.
In the glass, it shows a bright ruby hue with a purple tinge. The nose opens with plum and mulberry, layered with graphite, charred nori, roast pan drippings, spicy charcuterie and a subtle hint of hickory sauce. Light to medium in body, the palate is fresh and energetic, driven by lively acidity and fine, tannins that frame a soft, elegant core. Flavours of plum and berry compote flow through, balanced by a gentle dusty earthiness and a touch of nutmeg spice on the finish
