The Hofbräu Original is a classic, well-balanced lager, bright yellow in colour with a generous, foamy head. Just a few sips of this outstanding German Helles are enough to transport you straight to the beer halls of Bavaria.
The story of Hofbräu München began more than 400 years ago with a culinary challenge. Dissatisfied with the taste and quality of the beer served at his court, William V, Duke of Bavaria, founded the Hofbräuhaus in 1589 — the birthplace of both the brewery and its gastronomic legacy. Today, the Hofbräuhaus Bavarian State Brewery in Munich remains one of the only two traditional Munich breweries still run by Bavarians.
