2022 Domaine Courtault Michelet, Bourgogne Epineuil Côte de Grisey Pinot Noir

Domaine Courtault Michelet's Pinot Noir comes from vineyards on the "Côte de Grisey" a pretty hillside near the village of Epineuil 20km east of Chablis. The vineyards are sheltered from the winds, facing south, south-east  and are endowed with a magnificent limestone terroir; The slope is steep and the soil is not very thick, which leads the roots of the vines to plunge deeply into the limestone subsoil, giving a wine with character.

The aroma of red berries, particularly sour cherry, is accompanied by a beautiful structure on the palate. The fruit flavours are balanced by supple tannins, resulting in a refreshing finish typical of the terroir.
