This year, the Gaulthier family have created a fresh interpretation of Beaujolais Nouveau - a white version made from 100% Chardonnay, vinified using carbonic maceration. Elie, who leads the winemaking for this release, was named Best Young Winemaker of Burgundy a few years ago.
The Gauthier family have been making wine in Morgon since 1834, passing the estate down through generations to Laurent Gauthier, who now runs it with his sons, Jason and Elie. They are ommitted to sustainable farming, and limit chemical use to encourage biodiversity and are now certified organic. With a philosophy of minimal intervention in both vineyard and cellar, the family produces authentic, characterful natural wines.
Suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
