2016 Domaine François Lamarche Vosne Romanee

This estate, with an enviable set of vineyards, are near the top of the Vosne Romanée tree in terms of quality. 2016 was a small but seriously delicious vintage and this wine is simply impressive for a 'village' wine. It is an elegant and succulent expression of Vosne-Romanée. It dances delicately across the palate with red cherry and strawberry flavours, and just a touch of floral perfume. Rich and complex on the palate with ripe red fruits, potting soil and compote notes. It has a long finish, fine tannins and plenty of acidity to complement it all.
