2019 Schubert Syrah Organic

Situated in the Wairarapa Valley of Martinborough, this region stands out for its cooler and drier climate compared to others on the North Island. Similar to Marlborough, situated across the Cook Strait, it faces exposure to chilly winds from the southern ocean.

The nose reveals vibrant black fruits with subtle notes of white pepper and nutmeg. Aged in a combination of old and new French oak barriques, the wine showcases gentle tannins and well-balanced acidity. Complex flavours of herbs, dark fruits and black olives meld seamlessly, providing excellent depth and a balanced interplay of fruit and spice.
