2021 Van Loggerenberg 'Trust Your Gut' Chenin Blanc

Trust Your Gut 2021 is a Chenin Blanc made by Lukas van Loggerenberg from selected old-vine vineyards in the Western Cape. The fruit was harvested by hand and fermented with indigenous yeasts, with no additions beyond minimal sulphur. The wine was matured in older oak barrels, which contribute texture and structure without imparting overt oak character. The 2021 vintage shows flavours of citrus, stone fruit and apple, with balanced acidity and a dry, mineral finish. The name Trust Your Gut reflects the producer’s hands-off, instinct-led approach to winemaking, focusing on site expression rather than intervention.
