2023 Oldenburg Vineyards UNA V Chardonnay Stellenbosch

Nic van Aarde the masterful winemaker at Oldenburg came and did a tasting for us recently and during the evening reference was made to a new Chardonnay in the Rondekop premium range called UNA V. So needless to say our ears pricked up when we heard about this highly praised new Chardonnay Nic was talking about, ''err... Nic can we get a few cases of the next time you ship to the UK?''

Anyway six months later we are pleased to welcome 2023 UNA V Chardonnay...

The Rondekop range is a selection of the best barrels in the cellar. The soils are very rocky, the vines have to work hard. The wine is aged for 10 months in Burgundy oak and 25% is new. This is an exceptional Chardonnay and is rated 95+.
