Wayfarer was designed around 30 one acre blocks each one for a specific individual clone. All the grapes are handpicked as whole bunches before sunrise and taken to the winery. Vinification is done with a velvet touch so gentle pressing, carefully racking and natural yeasts.

Wayfarer make 5 Pinot Noirs from the same vineyard, all with different clones and characteristics. We were lucky to get hold of three of these as a library release from 2013.

The Mother Rock Pinot Noir – is a co-fermentation of Mount Eden and Dijon clones and sees 67% new oak. So needs a little time to settle down. That said this is a library release so the aging was done back in California.
