2015 C.V.N.E. Monopole Clasico Blanco Gran Reserva Magnum

In magnum no less!!!!

Viura grapes come from their vineyard in the village of Villalba de Rioja and are vinified as the Monopole Clásico from that vintage. They are fermented in cask and matured in six old rioja barrels and two even older 'botas' for five years. In a nod back to the traditional style a a small amount of Manzinalla is added.  There is amazing freshness and acidity but also finesse and complexity. Aromas of spice, dried apricots, dried flowers, lanolin and mushrooms. Similar flavours on the palate which is intense and very dry. Bottled in 2021 and only 2400 bottles produced and a lot less magnums.
