2021 Quinta Dos Murcas Reserva Douro

This Reserva comes from the historic steep vineyards of the Douro Valley in northern Portugal, planted on schist soils between approximately 150–280 m in altitude and farmed sustainably, with hand-harvested grapes and careful vinification. It’s a classic Douro red blend built on indigenous varieties such as Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Sousão, Tinta Roriz, Tinta Barroca and Tinta Amarela from old vines with strong terroir influence. After fermentation, the wine typically spends extended time in oak (often around 12–18 months in used French oak), adding structure without overwhelming the fruit.
