The 2022 Reverdito Langhe Nebbiolo “Simane” is a straightforward, honest take on Nebbiolo from the foothills of Barolo—drinkable now and built for easy pleasure. It is made by Michele Reverdito in La Morra (Langhe DOC), on west‑facing, calcareous‑marly soils at about 270 m altitude. It is hand harvested and aged in large oak casks for structure without imparting too much oakiness.
It has a lively ruby hue edged in pale orange. On the nose, fresh red fruits—think juicy cherry and cranberry—blend with hints of dried rose petals and a gentle spice snap. The palate is medium‑bodied and savoury, with supple tannins that carry flavours of tart pomegranate, orange zest, and a fine mineral streak and lead to a clean, lingering finish.
