A crisp, high-altitude expression of Assyrtiko from Amyndeon in northern Greece, produced by Kir-Yianni, one of the country’s leading modern wineries founded by Yiannis Boutaris and now run by the Boutari family. The vineyards sit around Lake Vegoritida in Florina, where cooler continental conditions and sandy, free-draining soils give the wines a distinct tension and lift.
Pure, focused and citrus-driven, with aromas of lemon zest, green apple and subtle blossom notes. The palate is taut and mineral, showing bright lime, grapefruit and a faint herbal edge, carried by mouth-watering acidity. A distinct stony, saline finish reflects the cool-climate vineyard sites, giving the wine both precision and length. Clean, energetic and very food-friendly, especially with seafood and grilled vegetables.
Suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
