Clonakilty Irish Whiskey Double Oak

Clonakilty is a family-run distillery on the coast of West Cork, where the Scully family has farmed for nine generations. Their own barley is grown on fields that look out to the Atlantic, and the whiskey is cut with pure local spring water. With a focus on careful cask finishing, Clonakilty has quickly built a reputation for quality and innovation.

The Double Oak expression brings together single pot still and single grain whiskey, matured first in ex-bourbon casks before a split finish in American virgin oak and European red wine casks. The result is smooth and full-flavoured: ripe orchard fruits and vanilla on the nose, a palate of warm spice, hazelnut and toffee sweetness, and a lingering finish with gentle oak and caramel.
