Bodega Mauro Estévez is a family-run estate in Galicia’s Ribeiro region, working with native white varieties and steep, terraced vineyards. Just an hour inland from Vigo on Spain’s Atlantic coast, and half an hour north of the Portuguese border, lie the valleys of San Vicente and San Mauro. Across 16 small parcels, each shaped by its own microclimate and soil, the Estévez family tends just two hectares of vines. these vineyards are farmed with care and precision, yielding wines that speak clearly of their place.
The 2023 Blanco is a blend of Treixadura, Loureira, Godello, Albariño and Lado, vinified in stainless steel and rested on its lees for 7 months. Aromas of white peach, citrus, and green apple are layered with floral notes and a hint of wet stone. On the palate it’s fresh and vibrant, with crisp acidity and a fine mineral line carrying through to a clean, lingering finish.
