Barbaresco, Barolo & Beyond Exploring Nebbiolo with Burgundy Nick Friday 27h February 7pm -9pm

We’re pleased to invite you to an evening centred on one of Italy’s great grape varieties: Nebbiolo, hosted by Burgundy Nick.

Nebbiolo is best known for Barolo and Barbaresco, wines of structure, perfume and longevity, but its story doesn’t stop there. On the night, we’ll explore how Nebbiolo shows itself across Langhe, Barbaresco, Barolo, and further north in Alto Piemonte, where lighter soils and cooler conditions give a fresher, more lifted expression.

Guiding us through the evening will be Nick Fisher — aka Burgundy Nick — sharing insight, context and stories as we taste, compare and explore together. We'll gather around large tables and start the evening with an aperitif, then settle in for the tasting. 

These are wines made to be drunk with food, not studied in isolation. To that end, we’ll be serving charcuterie sharing boards as the tasting begins, followed by a hearty pasta dish alongside the older Barbarescos, provided by our friends at Gianni's Brio Ristorante.

 The evening will be relaxed, and informal. Nick will guide the tasting, sharing insight into the regions, producers and vintages, but there’s no rush — just good bottles, good food and time to enjoy both.
