Miani is a cult producer Friuli Colli Orientali, in north-east Italy. The estate’s approach is meticulous, with very small yields and a clear focus on balance and longevity.
The 2022 Miani Malvasia La Mont di Zuc displays a luminous straw colour, immediately conveying clarity and varietal purity. The nose is intense yet poised, revealing yellow stone fruit, lemon peel and white floral notes, layered with subtle acacia honey and a saline, ponca-driven minerality characteristic of Friuli Colli Orientali. On the palate the wine is rich and persistent but finely balanced, with vibrant freshness lifting flavours of ripe peach, citrus and gentle honeyed tones, all carried by a firm mineral spine through to a long, focused finish. A Malvasia of texture, precision and site expression, shaped by meticulous winemaking and a strong sense of place.
