Miani is a cult producer in Friuli Colli Orientali, north-east Italy, renowned for a meticulous, low-yield approach and an unwavering focus on balance and longevity. Rosso di Miani is a serious, full-bodied Bordeaux-inspired blend of Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and the local variety Tezzelenghe, combining structure and depth with a distinctly Friulian identity. Aged for around 24 months in French oak, the wine reveals dark plum and black cherry fruit layered with the savoury, aromatic nuances of Cabernet Franc, while subtle notes of clove, black pepper and tobacco add complexity without excess weight. On the palate it is concentrated yet composed, driven by firm structure and underlying energy that keeps everything in balance, finishing long and controlled — a powerful, food-worthy red with the capacity to age gracefully.
