Clos des Quarterons is a 37-hectare, family-run estate in Touraine, now in the hands of the sixth generation, Agnès and Xavier Amirault. Certified by Ecocert and Demeter, the vineyard is farmed biodynamically with a strong respect for the land.
This expressive Cabernet Franc comes from 30-year-old vines grown on gravel soils in a warm microclimate. It pours a deep purple and offers a generous nose of black fruit and spice. On the palate, it’s rich and powerful, with the depth you’d expect from old vines — balanced by fresh fruit and a long, autumn-fruit finish.
The wine would make a great match for roast or grilled lamb, pork, casseroles, game birds, and mature cheeses.
