2023 Duffour Père et Fils, IGP Côtes de Gascogne

Michel Duffour took charge of his family's estate in 1973, dedicating three decades to perfecting the estate's wines before passing on his expertise to his son, Nicolas, in 2004. Planted on a mix of clay and limestone, the vines currently boast an average age of 30 years old.

In a region known for its fertility, Duffour Père et Fils actively encourages low yields through strict pruning, resulting in a concentrated, high-quality final wine. Their affordably-priced white blend, made with Colombard, Gros Manseng, and Ugni Blanc grapes, is modern and crisp, with no oak influence. After being aged on lees, it boasts a richer body and more pronounced aromatics compared to other wines from the area.
