Produced by IDDA on the slopes of Mount Etna, this estate is a collaboration between Angelo Gaja and the Graci family, combining Gaja’s renowned precision and winemaking expertise with deep local knowledge of Etna’s terroir. The project focuses on expressing the unique identity of Etna through high-altitude vineyards on volcanic soils, where altitude, exposure and lava-derived soils contribute to freshness, structure and minerality.
This rosato is made primarily from Nerello Mascalese, the region’s signature grape, and reflects Etna’s hallmark combination of aromatic lift, salinity and tension. The 2025 vintage continues this philosophy, with careful vinification in stainless steel to preserve purity, precision and site expression.
Tasting note:
The wine shows a pale, pink hue, with a lifted aromatic profile of wild strawberry, red currant and pomegranate, layered with rose petal, citrus zest and subtle herbal nuances. On the palate it is light-to-medium-bodied, driven by bright acidity and a fine volcanic mineral backbone. Flavours of red berry fruit and blood orange are complemented by a distinct saline edge, giving energy and clarity. The finish is clean, crisp and persistent, with lingering citrus, red fruit and mineral notes.
A refined and terroir-driven Etna rosato, combining Gaja’s precision with volcanic character, offering both immediacy and finesse.
