Craigellachie Distillery's prime location at the confluence of the Spey and Fiddich Rivers is ideal. Its spirit, starting out heavy due to long fermentation, gains floral and fruit notes during maturation. A description that also applies to Marsala: rich, rounded, and fruity. When combined the outcome is a refined whisky with unique nuances.
The whisky has nutty and floral aromas, accompanied by notes of dried apricots and orange marmalade. The palate offers a complex and lengthy experience, featuring soft oak spices with a touch of warmth. On the finish, one can taste hints of red fruit and stewed summer fruit, along with a light touch of caramel.
