A poised, quietly powerful Blanc de Blancs from a warm, generous year and from one of the last remaining Clos in Champagne. In the glass it shows pale gold with a fine, steady bead; on the nose, ripe orchard fruit, lemon zest, a touch of brioche and sweet spice, plus a gentle chalky freshness. The palate balances richness and precision — yellow apple, pear and a hint of honey layered over bright acidity and a subtle saline edge. Long lees ageing brings a creamy texture without weight, and the finish is long, mineral and dry, leaving a faint savoury note that pulls you back for another sip.
Emmanuel and Charles-Henry Fourny are making some of the most exciting wines in Champagne and are emerging as stars of their generation. They now own and lease (from other family members) some 20 hectares of 1er Cru vineyards in the Côte de Blancs and all exclusively from the limestone and pure chalk soils of Vertus. The hallmark of their wines is freshness, elegance and purity.
