Chateau Batailey is situated in the South West corner of Pauillac and belongs to the Castéja family who also own several other grands crus in Bordeaux. It has a reputation as on of the most dependable producers in Bordeaux and the 2013 is no exception despite being produced in a challenging year.
Aromas of cassis, blackcurrant leaf and graphite on the nose, followed by a touch of oak. Finely structured and lively with acidity, with an almost steely finish.
