This is one for lovers of mature wine. This is an unusual vintage Cava that has seen 8 years on its lees plus 2 years in bottle, giving it real depth and complexity.
The nose is layered and a bit oxidative, with classic aged notes of pastry, toasted nuts and yeast.
On the palate it’s rich, with a creamy mousse and a savoury, nutty character, all balanced by a citrus backbone that keeps it lifted and fresh.
The finish is long and dry, combining pastry, citrus and a subtle saline edge.
Grapes are from old vine parcels of Macabeo, Xarel.lo, Parellada that are vinified separately
