From the Grand Cru village of Ambonnay, this beautifully mature vintage Champagne combines 60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir, showcasing the house’s distinctive approach to oak ageing. Fermented and matured in large 34-hectolitre oak foudres, it spends a minimum of ten years ageing in the cellars before release. A restrained dosage of 5g/L preserves the wine’s freshness and chalky character. Only 4,003 bottles were produced.
Tasting note: Pale golden yellow, with complex aromas of blackcurrant, cherry, lemon and toasted almond, alongside mint, wet chalk and delicate spice. With aeration, notes of wild strawberry, raspberry, ripe peach, hazelnut and warm brioche emerge. The palate is creamy yet vibrant, combining ripe orchard fruit and citrus with fine acidity, pronounced chalky minerality and a subtle saline edge. The finish is long, precise and beautifully persistent.
A refined, mature vintage Champagne, balancing Chardonnay’s elegance and freshness with Pinot Noir’s fruit, texture and depth.
