2016 Ségla Margaux

Ségla is the second wine of the renowned Margaux second growth Château Rauzan-Ségla and stands out as one of the best-value second wines available. Crafted to be more approachable than the grand vin, it sees less new oak, resulting in ripe, supple tannins and a polished, ready-to-drink style. It captures the essence of Margaux at a fraction of the cost of the top estates, yet still has the structure to age gracefully over the next decade. Aromatic and elegant, expect layers of blackberry, blueberry and cassis, lifted by floral notes of violet and hints of cedar, all carried by impressive length.
