2018 Domaine Rene Bouvier Gevrey Charmes-Chambertin Grand Cru 1 x 6 (in bond)

Grown from mature vines in the Mazoyères sector, this wine exudes a mid crimson purple color and boasts an excellent nose with a powerful and punchy aroma. The taste is elevated by the stony character of Mazoyères and offers a strong grip and long finish. The domaine has followed organic principles since 2009, prioritizing respect for microbial life and quality selection. Bernard strives for perfect ripeness while maintaining freshness, using 50% whole bunch inclusion in his red wines and a gentle "infusion" fermentation process. Aging takes place in barriques, demi-muids, and concrete eggs for 12-18 months, followed by an additional 6 months in stainless steel tanks. Finally, the wine is bottled with minimal SO2 additions.
