A single-vineyard English sparkling rosé from Coldharbour Vineyard in West Sussex, made from 70% Pinot Noir, 20% Pinot Meunier and 10% Chardonnay. The exceptional 2018 vintage produced beautifully ripe fruit, while the vineyard’s chalk, clay and flint soils provide the freshness and mineral precision that balance the richness. The wine was fermented in stainless steel without malolactic fermentation, with 20% Pinot Noir red wine added for colour and depth, before extended lees ageing.
Tasting note:
A beautiful coral-pink colour, with aromas of blood orange, wild strawberry, red cherry and rose petal, alongside brioche, frangipane and subtle spice. The palate is rich, creamy and beautifully precise, with juicy red fruit and peach balanced by bright acidity and a fine saline edge. The mousse is delicate and persistent, leading to a long, savoury and refreshing finish.
A serious, gastronomic English rosé, combining 2018’s exceptional ripeness with chalk-driven freshness, elegance and remarkable depth.
