The Lesgourgues family has owned Château Peyros since 1999 and has invested heavily in the vineyards and cellar. Their 17 hectares are mostly planted with Tannat and some Cabernet Franc, with the terroir a silty clay full of large rounded pebbles. Sustainable practices are a priority and both Haute Valeur Environnementale and Terra Vitis certifications have been achieved.
The nose is expressive, with black fruits, typical of Tannat and balanced with the floral notes and delicacy from the Cabernet Franc. Round on the palate, unctuous and supple. The wine reveals subtle notes of cherry with a great freshness and length on the finish.
