Brothers Hector and Pablo Durigutti 's first vineyards were in Mendoza but are champions of terroirs and grape varieties throughout the country. They are at the forefront of a evolutionary change in Argentina’s winemaking philosophy with emphasis on terroir and fresh, bright focused fruit wines. Their Projectas Las Compuertas vines are planted at 1,050m above sea level and farmed with organic practices.
Charbono (Bonarda) is one of Argentina’s most exciting but less talked about grape varieties and displays fresh black cherry flavours. Unfined and unfiltered this smooth medium bodied wine is a great alternative to Malbec.
