Nestled in the Banghoek Valley, Oldenburg Vineyards in Stellenbosch offers a picturesque setting and a unique microclimate that produces beautifully elegant wines. The valley is home to the stunning 'Rondekop' hill and is characterized by cool temperatures due to its elevation, ocean breezes, and encircling mountains.
Harvesting and sorting of grapes were meticulously done by hand, followed by a 3-day cold soak prior to fermentation. Pump overs were conducted three times a day, with the wines then aged for 20 months in 300l French oak barrels. The wood regime consisted of 40% new oak, 40% 3rd fill barrels, and 20% 4th fill barrels.
