Roger Goulart was one of the first wineries in Penedès to produce Cava and they can trace its history back to 1882 when it was set up by the Canel Family. Cava is having something of a renaissance or perhaps better to say the light is now shinning on the better quality that’s has always been in the region. Roger Goulart is located in Sant Esteve Sesrovires and they have 20 hectares of vines consisting of primarily Xarel.lo vines. After second fermentation in the bottle the wine will spend a minimum of 18 months ageing in their cellar.
The wine has some creaminess but plenty of toasty nut from the extended ageing.
